"Happy For You" Watercolor Card!!

Hey Everyone!! It's Elina here with a quick and easy watercolor card for the Two Paper Divas Design Team.
I used the pansy image from the awesome stamp set, "Seed Packet Flowers #2" for my card.
This set has some great flower images just perfect for paper piecing or coloring.
I chose to do some quick water coloring to make a simple card.
Here's the pic for you to check out:

I stamped the pansy image a few times on a sheet of 4 x 4" watercolor paper.
I colored in the flowers, leaves and background using Recollections Dusty Purple and Kelly Green markers.
For the sky I used a Light Blue Recollections marker.
I added some details to the flowers using a white gel pen and Crystal Stickles.
I stamped the sentiment "Happy For You" from the "Happy Everything" stamp set in StazOn ink.
I used a curly label stencil to cut out the image panel.
I layered the panel on purple and blue papers, cut using the same curly label stencil.

For the card base, I cut a sheet of white card stock at 3 1/2 x 4 1/4".
I wrapped some light blue embroidery floss a few times around the card base.
I used  foam tape to attach the image panel, added some stitching lines and pearls.

And ta-da!! Card complete!!

I hope you enjoyed this project for today!!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day and Peace!! :)

A Cheeky Treat Bag!! :)

Hey Everyone! It's Elina here with another Design Team project for the Jiggery Makery blog.
I created a treat bag featuring the lovely "Bunny" digi, which can be purchased from the  Jiggery Makery etsy store.
Here's the pic for you to check out:

For this treat bag, I used a 5 x 10" brown paper lunch bag.
I cut an 1" off the top of the bag to shorten it.
A curly label stencil was used to cut a window so you can see the treats inside.
I then covered the bag using some Heidi Swapp "Serendipity" card stock.
To create a decorative border along the top, I used a Fiskars "Threading                                              Water" punch.
I inked the edges of the bag with a Going Grey inkpad from Stampin Up and                                      then set it aside to begin work on the image.

I printed the image on white card stock and used my alcohol markers to color her                                  in.
Here's a rundown of the colors I used:
                                                     -Skin- Blush, Dusky Pink, CR3
                                                     -Hair- Tan, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon
-Stockings, Bunny Ears, Tail and Shoes- C01, C02, C03, CR3, Dusky                                                                                                                   Pink
                                                     -Chick- Sunset Orange, Yellow Blaze

I paper pieced the outfit, ribbon, and eggs using some pink polka dot                                                     paper from a Recollections Bold Basics pack.
To add shading I used my C02 marker and fussy cut the image out.
I added Glossy Accents to the eggs, ears and ribbon.
I went around the edges of the image with a fine tip brown marker and adhered it to the treat bag using my ATG gun.

To finish it off, I added some flowers, rhinestones and a ribbon tied in a bow to close the bag.
I created a small tag, covered it with the leftover card stock pieces and stamped the sentiment "For You".

Altered Clipboard Project!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! I'm back with another Design Team make for the Jiggery Makery blog. This week's project features the newest digi from the Jiggery Makery Etsy Shop, "Darlene".
For today's project, I thought I would try my hand at altering a clipboard.
I added flowers, did some stamping and a few sticker elements to create it.
Here's the pic for you to check out:

I used a 9 x 11 1/2" clipboard that I purchased from my local WalMart.
I painted the entire surface with a coat of gesso and then inked it with brown ink.
I added some lace stickers to frame the edges of the clipboard.
I used a sheet of 12 x 12" patterned paper from the Kirby Teasdale Studio pack from Hobby Lobby as my background.
I tore the edges, inked them and used mod podge to adhere it to the clipboard.
I then whitewashed the paper to tone down the pattern a bit.
Once dry, I used a Graphic 45 harlequin stamp and a Tim Holtz ruler and stitching lines stamps to add texture and interest.
I added some dots over the stamped images using a dot stencil and Antique Linen Distress Paint.
To finish off the background, I added a few acrylic paisley and flourish pieces.
I then set the clipboard aside to begin work on the image.

For the image, I printed it on white card stock and used my alcohol markers and paper piecing to fill her in.
Here's a quick rundown of the colors I used:
- Skin- Blush, Dusky Pink
-Hair- Tan, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon
-Corset, Stockings, Shoes- C01, C02, C03, C07
-Stool- CR3, C02
Dress Form, Legs- CR3, Blush, Tan, Cinnamon

For the dress, I used a pink polka dot patterned paper and my C03 to add shading.
I adhered the image to a sheet of Neenah Desert Storm card stock, roughed up the edges  and inked them.
I stamped a stitching line along the right hand side.
I added a few thimbles to the bottom left corner and a Graphic 45 Metal Clothespin that says "Create" along the top.
I then backed the image panel on sheets of floral and neutral patterned papers.
I tore the edges, inked them and stamped them.
I used my ATG gun and pop dots to adhere them to the background.

I used a number of embellishments to bring this project to life.
I added a few Prima and Recollections flowers, lace trim, seam binding, twine bows and stamped pieces.

To finish it off, I adhered an acrylic bird, pearls, Glossy Accents to the stamped elements and the phrase "Its the little things that make life more enjoyable".

And voila!! Clipboard complete!!

I hope you enjoyed this project for today!!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day and Peace!! :)

So make sure you head over to the Party Time Tuesdays blog to play along and check out the awesome projects the DT members have created to inspire you.
With that said, let's move on to the canvas I created.

I painted a coat of gesso over the entire surface and set it aside to dry.
I then used some sprays in the colors pink, blue and black.
I made sure to concentrate the pink color in the center and the blue and black colors towards the edges.
To add a bit of texture to the canvas, I used a dot stencil and some homemade texture paste.
I added the texture paste to a few spots and set it aside to dry.

For the image, I used this drawing my 15 year old made for me.
I just scanned it into the computer and printed it out on white card stock.
I colored it in using my RV19 and E18 markers
For the bandage across the heart, I used my Dusky Pink and Tan ProMarkers.
For the rib cage and backbone, I used my C01 and C03 markers.
Once I had the image colored in, I added a few layers together to give it dimension.
I then set aside to work on the rest of the canvas.

I drew a set of wings out of white card stock, fussy cut them out, and adhered them to the background.
I added some shading with my C01 and C03 markers.
I then added some more texture to the center of the canvas using a heart doily as a stencil and my black paint spray.
I then adhered the heart image on top of the wings.

To add some interest, I stamped some hearts, words, lock and key in Staz On Jet Black ink.
For the sentiment, I stamped the phrase, "Love Takes Courage" onto white card stock, cut the words apart and arranged them on the canvas.
I darkened the outline around the heart using a fine tip black marker and added some stitching lines.
