Here is a project I created using the "Dream Charlie" image:

I created a mixed media canvas featuring this image and there is a tutorial up on my channel.
It shows you how I altered the canvas board.
Just click the link below to check it out:

I used a combination of die cuts, texture paste, stencils, stamps, and Distress Paints for the background.
For the image I used my alcohol markers to color her in.
Here's a quick rundown of the colors I used:
-Skin- FS9, Beige, R20
-Hair- E70, E29, E79
-Shirt, Bow & Cup- RV000, RV63, RV55, B12, B14

I trimmed the image panel to fit the canvas and used foam tape to attach it.
To finish it off, I used some flowers from Recollections and Prima.
I gessoed them, sprayed them to match the background, and attached a few to some lace flowers I made.
Next I hot glued them down on the canvas, arranging them around the image.

And ta-da!! Canvas complete!!

I hope you enjoyed this project for today!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Friday!!

Valentine's Day Treat Boxes plus a New Video!!

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday to you all!! I hope your day is off to a fantastic start!! For today's post, I have a set of Valentine's Day treat boxes I made for my girls. I was inspired to create these from a pin I found on Pinterest.
Here's the link where you can find the tutorial: tarascraftstudio

And here's the pics of the boxes I created:

The blue & grey one is for my 16 year old and the pink & red one is for my 7 year old.
The boxes are pretty simple to make but the fun part is decorating them.
I decorated them both using the same embellishments, just sticking to shades of blue and pink.

I won't go through the measurements because there are a ton of pics I want to share.
But make sure to click the link above to learn how to make these.

The image adorning these treat boxes is "Scribbles Sally- Be mine Valentine" from the Scrap N Dipity shop.
There's a coloring tutorial on my channel, just click here:

                                                                  And now to the pics:

For the fronts, I decorated them both with patterned papers, heart doilies, a sentiment, flower and the image, that I fussy cut out.

Side view
Side view

The "XO" & "Love" circles on the side of the boxes I made using my Cricut Explore.

The back

For the backs, I used these Spare Parts decorative label plates from Hobby Lobby.
I added a few sequins and stamped the cupid images using my Staz on Jet black ink.

For the tops of the boxes, I added some lace flowers I made, resin pieces to all four sides,
an organza bow and some die cut swirls & flowers.

The coolest part about these boxes is that they open up to reveal drawers.
You can fill it with candy, money, little notes, whatever you wish.

I decorated the inside using some lace and a few die cut pieces.
I also added a decorative border along the bottom edges.

And here's the pic of the box when it's completely open:

And voila!! Treat Boxes complete!! :)

I hope you enjoyed this project for today!!
I hope I've inspired you to give this one a try.
It was a lot of fun to make and I'm looking forward to making a few more.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day, and as always, peace!! :)

I'll be entering these boxes in these challenges:

"My Thanks" Card featuring "Pamela": Jiggery Makery DT Project!

Hey everyone!! For today's post, I have a card I created for the Jiggery Makery blog!! I used the fabulous "Pamela" digi from the Jiggery Makery shop to make this card.

Here's the pic for you to check out:

The card measures 4 3/4" x 6 1/4," and uses a sheet of craft card stock for the base.
I cut a piece of beige card stock at 3/4" x 6 1/4" and used an EK Success border punch to add a            decorative border. I then inked the edges using my "Chocolate Chip" ink pad from Stampin Up and                                                                 adhered it to the card base.

For the image, I used my alcohol markers to color her in.

Here's a rundown of the colors I used:
                                                              -Skin- FS9, Beige, R30
                                                              -Hair- E70, E29, E79
                                                        -Dress & Shoes- G40, G43, G46

I used an oval stencil to trace the shape onto the image and fussy cut it out.
Then, I layered the image panel on a sheet of patterned paper cut 1/4' bigger.
Next, I layered it again on another oval, 1/4" bigger, cut out of white card stock.
Using the Chocolate Chip ink, I inked the edges, added pop dots and adhered the panel to the card                                                                                     base.

To finish the card off, I added some flowers from Recollections and Prima.
Lastly, I stamped the "My Thanks" sentiment from an Avery Elle stamp set.

                                                           And voila!! Card complete!!

I hope you enjoyed this card for today!!
Thanks for stopping by; enjoy the rest of your day and as always, peace!! :)

"Konichiwa" Card featuring "Kimono Girl": LBBS DT

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend!! For today's post, I created a card for the Little Blue Button Stamps blog using one the newest images to be released, "Kimono Girl".
This is an adorable image, and when I first saw it I immediately thought of coloring her like a traditional Geisha.
I think I definitely achieved the look I was after, and I even I drew in some cherry blossoms to tie it all together.
I also tried my hand at some Japanese characters adding the sentiment "Konichiwa.". ("Hello," in Japanese)
There's a coloring tutorial up on my channel that will take you step by step through the entire coloring process, so please make sure to click the link to check it out.

Without further ado, here's the pic of the card for you to check out:

The card measures 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" and uses a sheet of beige card stock for the base.
I added a blue/green patterned paper as my first card layer and it measures 4 3/4" x 5 7/8".
The image panel is trimmed down to 3 3/4" x 5 1/4", and I adhered it to a sheet of white card stock and colored the border in using a gold metallic marker.
Next, I adhered it to the card base and wrote the sentiment along the right hand side.

Here's the full list of colors I used for this image:
- Skin- C0, R14
-Hair- C04, C06, C08 100
-Kimono- R14, R17, R27, Yoo, Y13, Y18
-Fox- E97, E99, E74, C04, C0
-Cherry Blossoms- 0, C0, RV55, E74, E79
-Background- B12, B14, G94, G99

And-ta-da!! Card complete!!

Say it with Stars: Glitter N Sparkle "Fireworks/Sparkle Challenge!! :)

Hey everyone, it's time for another awesome challenge from the Glitter N Sparkle challenge blog! This week's challenge is "Fireworks and/or Sparkle!!
Please make sure to stop by the blog, play along, and show us all your sparkly projects.
We have a great sponsor lined up whose graciously offering a wonderful prize pack to our winner

The card I'm featuring today uses the adorable "Lucia" image from the Zuri
Artsy Craftsy shop.

Here's the pic for you to check out:

The card measures 5 3/4" x 7 1/4", and is made from a 12" × 12" sheet of burgundy card stock.
For the image, I wanted to recreate the look of the night sky; and what sparkles more at night than the stars?
And, if you look closely, you will see the sentiment written in the stars. It's a bit hard to see in the picture, but the sentiment reads, "I <3 U."

Now here are the steps of how I created this starry night scene.

- First I colored in the image using my alcohol markers.
Here's a quick rundown of the colors I used:
-Skin- FS9, Beige, R20
-Hair- E70, E29, E79
-Clothes & Hat- RV52, RV55, G43, G46, B12, B14, B18, C08, C06, C03

Once I had the image completed, I went back in with my white Gelly Roll pen to add a few extra details to the outfit,

To create the night sky background, I used two colors of ink; "Night of Navy" & "Perfect Plum" were the colors I chose.
Using my ink blending tool, I started off using the "Perfect Plum" to add color at the bottom of the panel, and I worked my way up.
Next, I used the "Night of Navy," blending it with the "Perfect Plum" and bringing the color towards the top.
I went over it a few times till I achieved the look I was after.

After I was done with sky, I grabbed my G94 & G99 markers to add color and texture to the ground beneath her feet.

For the stars, I used my white gel pen to map out where I wanted them to go.
Next, to add a bit of sparkle, I went over them using my Diamond Stickles.

Now after this step the background was pretty much complete, but I  felt it was missing something.
What's stargazing without a telescope to go with it?
So I looked up an easy telescope image on Google that I could draw.
I found just the one and I drew it out on a scrap of white card stock.
I used my C0, C04, C06, C07 & C08 markers to color it in.
Once I had it filled in, I fussy cut it out, used my black marker along the edges, and adhered it in front of the girl.

Lastly, I trimmed down the image panel, adhered it to a sheet of white card stock, added pop dots to the back, and attached it to the card base.

And ta-da!!! Card complete!!! :)

I hope you enjoyed this card for today!!
Thanks for stopping by; enjoy your Sunday and as always, peace!!! :)

A Trip down Memory Lane with "Pamela"!!

Hey everyone, I hope you had a great start to your week!! On Mondays I usually post a Design Team project for the Jiggery Makery blog, but I thought I would do something a little different this time, and that is to revisit past projects I created using Adele's fabulous digis. So, for today's post, I wanted to revisit a mixed media canvas I created using the lovely," Pamela".

Here's the pic of the project I created by in February of 2015:

I had a lot of fun creating this canvas.
The roses, bird bath, bird, and branches were all drawn and colored by me.
I added layers of white and baby blue lace along the top and bottom of the canvas.
For the image, I colored her in using my alcohol markers and paper pieced her dress using papers from a                                                                        Recollections paper pad.
I added some pearls and rhinestones to finish it off.

You can find the whole tutorial by clicking the link here:
OOh La, La Mixed Media Canvas

This was one of my favorite projects that I made for the blog.
I have this canvas placed in my entryway so I see it every time I come in.

I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane with me!!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your evening, and as always, peace!! :)
