Tea Time Quick and Easy Card!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend! I'm back with another Design Team project for the Jiggery Makery  blog. For my project, I created a quick and easy card featuring the newest image from the Jiggery Makery etsy store , "Elizabeth".
                                                       Here's the pic for you to check out:

The card measures 5 1/2 × 5 1/2".
I used a patterned paper from the Recollections "Garden Floral" 8 1/2 × 11" paper pad as my card layer.
I trimmed it to 5 1/4 × 5 1/4" and used my ATG to adhere to the card base.
 With the background of the card complete, I set it aside to work on the image.

For the image, I printed it out and used my alcohol markers to color her in.
Here's a rundown of the colors I used:
- Skin - FS1, FS4, CR3
- Hair - Tan, Honey Brown, Cinnamon, E18
- Shoes and Lips- RV14

I paper pieced the teacup and saucer using a floral paper from the same Recollections paper pad.
I used a C02 marker to add some shading and a gold marker to fancy it up a bit.
I added some highlights using my white gel pen and added Glossy Accents to the shoes, teacup and saucer.
I let the Glossy Accents dry thoroughly and then fussy cut the image.
I used a fine tip brown marker around the edges and set it aside to finish up the card.

I cut a 4 1/2 × 5" rectangle out of white card stock, added a patterned paper frame around it, and attached it to the card at an angle.
I then used foam tape to attach the image inside of the frame.

To finish it off, I added some Recollections flowers, pearls, and the sentiment "Tea Time".

                                                            And voila! Card complete!

Before I wrap up this post, just wanted to share really quickly, my daughter's take on this image.
I normally don't let her color these types of images but I told her this was a one time only deal.

Altered Dry Erase Board!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! I'm back with another Design Team Project for the Jiggery Makery blog! For my project today, I took a dry erase board that I got from the Dollar Tree, altered it and added the newest digi from the Jiggery Makery Etsy Shop, "Rose".
                                                        Here's the pic for you to check out:

The dry erase board measures 10 5/8 x 11".

I used a striped patterned paper from the Graphic 45 "By The Sea" 12 x 12" paper pad, to cover up the design that was already on the board.

I then added a navy blue border around the whole board to finish it off.

I used a few of the cut aparts from the paper pad to add some interest to the corners.

I inked the edges using a dark brown ink pad.

I cut out some seashells ,starfish and a lobster stamp to add to the postcards. 

With the background complete, all that was left to do now was to work on the image.

I printed the image from my computer onto a sheet of white card stock.

I used my alcohol markers to color her in and here's a rundown of the colors I used:

-Skin- FS1, FS4, CR3

-Hair- Tan, Cinnamon, E18

I paper pieced the swimsuit using some yellow patterned paper from a Recollections "Garden Floral" 8 1/2 x 11" paper pad.

I then added some details with my white gel pen and added some Glossy Accents to the swimsuit.

I fussy cut her out and attached her to the postcard using foam tape.

As a final finishing touch, I used a dry erase marker to add a summer to do list which includes:

-Buy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

-Go To The Beach

-Learn to Surf

-Work on my Tan

And voila!! Dry Erase Board complete!!

Feeling Sketchy Card Sketch #121!!

Hey Everyone!! Happy T.G.I.F to you all!! I hope your Friday is off to a great start! I'm back with another Card Sketch challenge for the Feeling Sketchy blog.

With that said. here's the pic of the card I created based on this latest challenge:

The card base measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2".

For the card layer, I used a sheet of patterned paper from a Recollections "Bold Basics" paper pad.

I cut it down to 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" and used my ATG to adhere it to the card base.

I used a polka dot patterned paper from the same paper pad to create this banner across the front of the card.

I went around the banner using my C02 marker to add some shading.

I glued it down and wrapped some purple embroidery floss to finish it off.

I then set aside to work on the image.

I used this "Cupcake Anya 01" from The Greeting Farm as my main focal image.

I used my alcohol markers to color her in.

Here's the rundown of the colors I used:

-Skin- FS1, FS4, CR3

-Hair- Tan, Cinnamon, E18

-Shirt, Shoes- C01, C03, C05

-Pants, Headband, Bows, Ribbon- HB1, HB2, HB3

-Cupcake- Cinnamon, E18, CR3, R20

I fussy cut the image out, used Glossy Accents and added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

I adhered the image to a 3" circle I cut using my Cricut Explore machine.

I added some stitch lines, colored the ground using my C01 and C03, and stamped a few swirls.

I adhered the circle to a 3 1/2" scalloped circle that I cut from purple paper.

I then attached the image panel using some foam tape.

To finish the card off, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on some vellum.

I flagged the ends, used vellum adhesive to attach it to the card front and added a few green sequins.

And voila! Card complete!!

Sweet Treats Matchbox!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope your day is off to a good start!! For today's post, I have a quick project I made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch board.  I recently purchased the envelope punch board from Michael's this past weekend as part of my Mother's day shopping spree. 

This is a great tool to have on hand cause you can make custom envelopes for your cards.

But I wanted to see what else can be made using this punch board.

So I went on YouTube and found some great tutorials featuring the Envelope Punch board.

I found one on how to make a drawer for a matchbox, so I thought I would give it a try.

It took me a couple of tries to get it just right but I like the way it turned out.

The best part is that you can create these drawers in any size you want.

For mine, I used a 6 x 6" sheet of paper.

I created the cover to match and turned it into a a sweet little gift for my daughter's teacher.

I used some patterned papers from the ki "Beery Blossom" 6 x 6" paper pad from Hampton Art to decorate the cover for the matchbox.

I used my Cricut Explore to cut this 3" top note shape.

I used the "Mason Jar Accessories #4" stamp set from the Two Paper Divas to stamp the "Thank you for making my day a little sweeter!" sentiment.

I used pop dots to attach it to the front.

I also stamped the chocolate chip cookies from this same stamp set.

I colored them in using my alcohol markers, fussy cut them out and used pop dots to adhere them.

I tucked in a few small Hershey's bars in the drawer to finish it off.

Seashells By The Seashore Tag!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Mothers Day!! I'm back with another Design Team project for the Jiggery Makery blog. I created a tag perfect for summer featuring the newest image from the Jiggery Makery etsy store, "Gloria".I kept the tag pretty simple and used a different color combo for the skin.

Here's the pic for you to check out:

I created a custom tag measuring 4 1/8 × 7" out of white and manila card stocks. I sandwiched the two card stocks together to create a sturdy base.
I marked off an area for the sky, sea and sand using a pencil and ruler.
I used my Copic markers in B00 for the sky, B24 and B29 for the sea.
I added some highlights to the sea using a white gel pen.

For the sand, I used some Martha Stewart "Sparkle Texture Paste" and colored it with Antique Linen Distress paint.
I then added it to the tag using a palette knife.
To make it look realistic, I placed a few seashells in the sand and added some texture paste over the top to give the illusion of the shells sticking up out of the sand.
I then set it aside to dry to work on the image.

For the image, I printed it out on white card stock and used my alcohol markers to color her in.
Here's a rundown of the colors I used :
- Skin - GT1, CR3, FS4
-Hair- Tan, Burnt Sienna, E18

I used a pink patterned paper for the bathing suit and some Neenah Desert Storm card stock for the hat.
I used my C02 and E18 markers to add some shading.
I also added some highlights using a white gel pen.
Once I had the image colored in, I cut it out and added it to the tag using foam tape and adhesive.

For the sentiment, "Seashells by the Seashore", I used a DCWV "Vacation Quotes" sticker pad.
I cut the words apart and arranged them on the tag.

To finish the tag off, I punched a hole at the top, added some fibers, ribbon and stitching lines.

                                                            And ta-da!! Tag complete!!

Happy Mothers Day Card!!

Hey Everyone!! Happy " Hump " Day to you all!! For today's post, I have a Mother's Day card I created for the Two Paper Divas Design Team. They are kicking off the newest stamp releases for the month of May. These stamp sets are chock full of beautiful images and sentiments. The card featured today showcases the "Garden Joy" set. This set has a great wheelbarrow image that is perfect for coloring.

With that said, here's the pic of the card I created for you to check out:

The card base measures 5 1/2 x 6".
The card layer is a 6 x 6" sheet of striped paper from the ki "Berry Blossom" paper pad from Hampton Art. I just trimmed it down an 1/8".
I used my Signo Uniball White gel pen to add some dash lines.
The paper pad I used is double sided, so I took the same striped paper, turned it over and used the backside as my second layer.
I trimmed it down to 4 1/2 x 4 1/2", adhered it to white card stock, and added it to the card base at a slight angle.
Once I had the card base complete, I set it aside to work on the image.

I stamped the image on white card stock and colored it in with alcohol markers.
Here's a quick rundown of the colors I used:

-Wheelbarrow- Tan, Burnt Sienna, E18
-Flower Pots- YR04, C02, Tan
-Hat- Dusky Pink, Tan, CR3, R20
-Potting Soil Bag- FS04, Dusky Pink
-Spade- CR3, R20, C02, C04, C06
-Flowers- CR3, R20, YG03, Forest Green
-Sky- BT3, BG03
-Grass- YG03, Forest Green

I used my Signo Uniball pen to add a few highlights to the image.
I added Glossy Accents to the flowers, spade and hat brim.
I then trimmed the image panel to 4 x 4 1/8", added dash lines, adhered it to a piece of white card stock and used foam tape to add it to the card base.

To finish the card off, I stamped the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from the "Banners #1" set onto white card stock, notched the ends used foam tape to attach it to the card, and added a few ivory enamel dots.

                                                          And voila!! Card complete!!

The East Wind "Aurora" Digi Wall Hanging!!

Hey Everyone!! Happy Friday to you all!! I have another project to share with you today. I created an inspirational wall hanging for the latest Anything Goes Challenge over at the Party Time Tuesdays blog.

I used an awesome digi I got from The East Wind, just for subscribing to their monthly newsletter.

The image is called "Aurora" and it's a beautiful image to color.

She has long, flowing hair which I found to be a challenge but it's a great way to practice coloring hair.

I also tried some different shading techniques to bring her life.

I think the end result speaks for itself but I'll leave that up to you to decide whether my hard work paid off.

For this project, I actually started off by coloring the image first.

I printed her out onto a sheet of white card stock and used my alcohol markers to color her in.

Here's a rundown of the colors I used:

-Skin- Blush, Dusky Pink, CR3 

- Hair - Tan, Cinnamon, Burnt Sienna 

-Dress- IB1, GT1, Oceanview Blue 

-Flowers- R20, CR3 

Once I had the image colored and shaded in, I used some Liquid Pearls in Lavender Lace to add some pearls to her floral barrette and flowers on the dress.

I then fussy cut the image out, went around the edges using my fine tip marker in brown and set her aside.

To turn this image into a wall hanging, I used a mat board frame.

I cut apart some inspirational sentiments and words from a DCWV "Cardstock Quotes" Mat stack and arranged them on the frame.

Once I had them placed where I wanted, I adhered them down using my ATG.

I then went in with my white gel pen to create stitching lines around each of sentiments.

I glued a piece of chipboard covered in a dark grey patterned paper to the inside of the frame.

I then adhered the image on top, making sure to leave some of her hair outside of the frame to create interest.

To finish it off, I added a few pearls along the top and bottom.

And voila! Wall Hanging complete!!

Kick Up Your Heels CAS Card!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! I'm back with another Design Team project for the Jiggery Makery blog.
For this post, I decided to create a clean and simple card featuring the newest image from the Jiggery Makery etsy store, "Grace". I had fun coloring this beautiful image and paper piecing her outfit.

For this card, I went with a one layer design.
I printed the image on white card stock, folded it in half to create the card base, and trimmed it down to create a 5 1/2 × 5 1/2" card.
I used my alcohol markers to color her in and here's the rundown of the colors I used:
-Skin- Blush, Dusky Pink, CR3
-Hair- Tan, Cinnamon, Burnt Sienna
-Shoes- C02, C04

I paper pieced the hat, shorts and shirt using some Neenah Desert Storm card stock and pink patterned paper.
I used my C02 and C04 markers to add some shading.
I used my white gel pen to add highlights and details to the hat, shorts and shirt.

I colored the ground underneath the image using my C01 and C03 markers.
I stamped the "Kick Up Your Heels.. And Celebrate" sentiment using a scripty alpha stamp set and StazOn Jet Black ink.
I added some highlights and shading to the letters to make them pop.

To finish the card, I used a fine tip black marker to add a border around the image and sentiment.
And as a final touch some silver sequins.

                                                           And ta-da!! Card complete!!

Always and Forever Wedding Card!!

I used one of the images for the card I created based on the sketch.

The card measures 5 1/2 x 6 1/4".

I adhered a double scallop border in ivory across the card front and a heart doily.

I used my C02 marker to trace the outline of the doily, so it would stand out against the card base.

With the card front complete, I set it aside to work on the image.

I printed the "Bride & Groom" digi on a sheet of white card stock.

I used my alcohol markers to color them in.

Here's a rundown of the colors I used:

-Skin- Blush, Dusky Pink, CR3

-Hair, Tan, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon

-Groom's Tux and Shoes- C02, C04, C06, C07

-Wedding Dress- C02, CR3, YG03

I used "Antique Linen" Distress Paint to paint, the hat brim, sash, ascot, and wedding dress slip.

I added pearls along the hem of the dress, veil and tiara.

With the image colored in, I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the card base using foam tape.

To finish off the card, I cut an ivory banner, stamped the sentiment "Always & Forever" and added a few silver sequins.

And voila!! Card Complete!!
