"Kitty Bee Designs Halloween Blog Hop"!!

Hey Everyone!! Happy Sunday to you all!! This is the second to the last stop on the Kitty Bee Design Team's "Halloween" Blog Hop!! I hope you all have enjoyed seeing the Design Team's awesome projects
showcasing the newest Halloween Digital Stamps from the KBD etsy store. These images are super cute, including the one I chose for my project today.

Here is a pic of "The Count Penguin" digi stamp I used to create a one of a kind treat box:

I love his little vampire cape.

For this little guy, I kept the coloring pretty simple using a combo of Copics and Bic Mark It markers.

Here is a quick rundown of the colors I used:

- Body- C07, Tuxedo Black

- Tummy- C01

- Beak and Feet- Summer Melon, YR04, Sunset Orange

- Cape- Rambunctious Red, Honey Brown

To finish the image off, I added a few highlights using a Sakura White Gel pen.

Once the coloring was done, I cut him out and set him aside.

I knew I wanted to create a coffin for this cute little guy to sit in.

I played around with the idea of making a coffin shaped card, but I thought that a 3D version would give me the look I was going for.

So I drew a custom coffin template, cut it out of a sheet of 12 x 12" purple cardstock and embellished it.

Here's the pic of the outside of the coffin:

I used some gold rickrack for the border, some die cut pieces and black brads to decorate the front.

I added some gold sequins to the skeleton's eyes and some highlights with a gold gel pen to finish it off.

I also decorated the sides and bottom of the coffin.

Once I had the outside decorated, I moved on to the interior.

I adhered two pieces of black patterned paper to the inside and created a pocket to add a few treats.

On the bottom interior piece, I added a banner with the sentiment "Boo!" and a few bats that I die cut.

I used quite a few layers of foam tape to attach the penguin and finished it off with more gold sequins.

I'll be giving this box to my 6 year old daughter but I just might have to make another one for me as well.
