Thanksgiving Place Cards feat. Gerda Steiner "All Cats" set!

Hey everyone it's Elina here & happy Tuesday to all!
I hope your day is off to a great start!
Today's post features place cards I made for my Holiday table.
Making place cards has become a tradition for a few years now.
Our table settings are pretty informal so it gives me leeway to come up
with cool designs.

So for this year's place cards I decided
to use the "All Cats" stamp set from Gerda Steiner.
I love this set & I have used it for a
number of different projects.
You can check out the video below for all details...

Here are a few close up pics:

I kept the design pretty simple.

I think the kitty turned out super cute.

I chose this image from the set because
of he sign he's holding.
It made it easier to stamp the names without adding
extra layers.

I hope you enjoyed this project & video!
Stay tuned for the start of my Holiday 2017 series this Friday!
You don't want to miss it!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day &
have a happy & safe Thanksgiving!

"Thank You" Card Tutorial!

Hey everyone it's Elina here & happy Tuesday to all!
Today's post features a Fall inspired "Thank You" card
featuring an original image by me.
I also used a cool technique called
"Ink Smooshing" to add color to my background.

You can check out the tutorial below...

Here are a few close up pics:

I love the warm colors of the background &
I think the flower turned out nicely.

I used a Sizzix stamp set from Jen Long for the sentiment.
The awesome part is I was able to get in Hobby Lobby on
clearance for $2.15.

If you would like more info on the card

Fall Makeover feat. Julie Nutting's "Megan" stamp!

Hey everyone it's Elina here!
I hope you are having a wonderful Friday evening!
Today's post features the Julie Nutting
"Megan"stamp.
I thought it would be cool to create a cute outfit for Fall.
Now anytime I decide to alter an image's outfit
I first stamp the image on scrap paper.
Then I draw how I want the outfit to look
on top of the stamped image.
Next I refine the look of outline and cut it out.

From there I trace out the basic shape on the white card
or patterned paper.
I draw in any fine details I want to add, add color
and/or shading.
Lastly I stamp the image on white card & add the new outfit.
And voila! A new outfit for your image that fits matches up
perfectly.

I am pleased with how this outfit turned out.
